Features

  • PSN College of Engineering and Technology offering 4 year BE degree Marine Engineering program approved by Directorate General of Shipping (DGS, Mumbai) Government of India.   
  • The institution is conferred with Autonomous status by UGC. 
  • The department of Marine Engineering was started in the year of 2002.  
  • It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, affiliated to Anna University. 
  • Department got A2 grade in the CIP inspection. 
  • Fully equipped Ship–in Campus with adequate accessories and functioning.
  • The major functioning of laboratories such as Marine Auxiliary laboratory, Fire fighting laboratory, Ship in Campus, Workshop, Simulator Laboratory. Seamanship Laboratory is functioning fully fledged condition. 
  • In addition to this  marine department is established with ,Air Conditioned Lecture &Seminar hall  with ICT facilities,  Department Library – With  adequate books, Drawing hall, 
  • All the students are trained in the above laboratories in regular time also they work after office hours to learn more .
  • 18 batches had passed out successfully till now. 
  • Especially Swimming pool practices have been given for mariners.
  • Qualified and experienced Professors / Chief Engineers, Captain, varies level of grade officers are imparting training to the cadets.
  • Regular/ Routine activities such that physical educations, March past have been conducted as per the DGS norms of in the prescribed Parade Ground.
