Common Computing Facility
- The Central computing facility forms an important component of the Institute’s infrastructure, providing a wide spectrum of services to the students as well as staff involved in research and other academic activities.
- All students have various computer science papers in their courses. The CCF provides the support for them to have a hands-on feel of what they learn in the classrooms and enhance their computer skills. The CCF also supports research activities undertaken in the institute.
- The CCF comprises of eight laboratories (CSE, IT and other departments) having latest configuration machines. The wide range of software includes, C, C++, Java, Autocad, MatLab, Pro- E, Ansi C, Rational rose, DB2 etc. All systems are networked and anyone occupying a terminal can access resources available in the network, barring security restrictions. Students also learn how to hamess the capabilities of a network. NPTEL lecture notes on available in network(Intranet). The UG students are encouraged to register atleast one course in the network,
- The lab is adequately supported by peripherals like Printer and scanner and other related devices, The central library is open 24x7 days throughout the year
- A Central computing facility is maintained to cater to the general computing needs of both students and teachers. The institution recognizes the key role that IT plays in teaching as well as research. Therefore, it is committed to providing computing facilities of the highest standards
- The computer center setup internet facility for hostellers on 24 hours basis. The computer center also provides internet facility to day scholar students during college hours.
- The internet is totally working on Wi-Fi enabled for students and staff with dedicated bandwidth of 50 Mbps from AIRTEL and 20 Mbps from Nissband and Broadband leased line BSNL internet connection of 16 Mbps.
